* This is a very good movie but the music doesn't fit into its atmosphere. If you can ignore the music, you will like this movie!

* While this is not a bad Pacino movie, I won't consider it his best. Pacino's emotional breakdown in final scenes in the courtroom is the expected acting behavior from Pacino, and while I would call it entertaining, I would not go so far as to suggest that it is 'great acting'!

* The plot is thin but overall this is a very enjoyable picture. If you want some basic entertainment then buy this movie, but don't expect a 'Scent of a Woman'-like performance from Pacino here!

This is one of my favorite Al Pacino movies, and even if you don't like Pacino for some reason, you will still have to accede to the fact that this is one of the greatest movies ever made! You gotta watch this, or stop calling yourself a movie aficionado, hehe!

And Scent of a Woman? Oh please! That must be Pacino's worst movie ever! Anyone who thinks that movie contains 'great acting' needs to have a brain surgery done; yeah, one can say that the movie showcases Pacino at his 'hammy best'! But that would be a review for another day!

Basically, you can find the seeds of Pacino's 'hammy' acting even in this movie, especially in the final courtroom scene!

And by the way, call me crazy but I liked the disco soundtrack of this movie too! Maybe those who hate the music also hate the disco genre itself!

A Prayer for the Dying Review

A Prayer for the Dying is one of my favorite books. This movie, while good, could have been better. The characters, with the exception of Rourke and Hoskins, are awfully shallow and one-dimensional!
